We have an opportunity available for Transport Coordinator to join a reputable organisation in the heart of Basildon. This role would suit an experienced transport professional looking to further their career within a forward thinking organisation. The Transport Coordinator will coordinate the delivery, movement and collection of all our clients products within the UK and Ireland to ensure a first class service to all customers.Your duties will include:• Take ownership of all relevant logistics and Transport issues and queries to ensure prompt resolution and feedback to related parties• Arrange and take ownership for all bookings and management of relevant in-house or third party contractors in accordance with delivery areas allocated by the Transport Manager• Maintain the transport database so that all relevant reporting required can be produced• Act as the main point of contact for in house support operation and provide daily feedback to said operation and directly to customer, as required• Ensure that all daily system processes e.g pick-release are completed in order to meet despatch deadlines and relevant reporting is provided when required• Manage and monitor all 3rd party or in-house returns, warehouse and storage issues and queries• Continuously seek improvement to maximise effectiveness of systems and administration processes through liaison with Transport Management team• Strive to meet any reasonable requests from the sales force in order to maximise the company’s sales units and unit revenue• Ensure 100% usage of the company’s CRM system, recording and updating all activity as mandated in the CRM procedure.• Continuously strive for improved relationships with regional administration and sales force to ensure that communication is at the forefront of all operations Do you have experience and drive needed to be successful within this organisation?!Recruiting now for contract and permanent work - so what are you waiting for?Due to the nature of this client, you must be located within a commutable distance to Basildon (by car), willing to work flexible hours and have previous experience in a similar role.
